Homel dweller fails to repeat dictator’s trick

Uladzimir Nyapomnyashchykh wanted to mark his birthday on the same day with Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his younger son.

The Civil Registry Office of the Chyhunachny district of Homel denied the city dweller correct the date of his birth. He wanted to have the date of his birth on August 31 instead of September 31, BelaPAN reports.

Uladzimir Nyapomnyashchykh, a retired militia officer, activist of the United Civil Party, For Freedom movement and Independent Trade Union of Radio Electronics Workers, applied to the Civil Registry Office on September 8 asking to change the date of his birth.

Belarus will open Trading Houses in Turkmenistan and Venezuela

Belarusian Trading Houses are planned to be open in Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

Till the end of the year a Trading House will be open in Ashkhabad, in the perspective— in Venezuela, Deputy Trade Minister Aleh Yakubovich told to BelaPAN.

The Deputy Minister also noted that Belarusian Trading House "Ar-Be" started operating on September, 30 in Armenia.

The opening of Trading Houses, Yakubovich underlined, is an important step on the way to Belarusian goods export. "This direction has good prospects and will seriously influence the increase of Belarusian goods export", — the Deputy Minister is convinced.

In the settlement of Baraulyany instructions related to the visit of Alyaksandr Lukashenka to the Centre of Child Oncology and Hematology appeared on front doors.

On November 9 a rally was held in Minsk. Its participants demanded to rename Ulyanauskaya Street into Vasil Bykau Street.

Charity fundraising turned into extortions

Minsk bureaucrats have turned the noble desire to help victims of the terrorist attack in Minsk metro into a humiliating procedure of extortions.

Enterprises, organizations and universities in Minsk have received allocations for how much money they are to send to the charitable funds of Minsk city executive committee for the injured and for bereaved families. Mother of many children from Mahilyow Natallya Shkadun has been hunger-striking for 5 days already. She is striving for improvement of living conditions for her family.

Four soldiers injured in blast at training range in Belarus

Unexploded ordnance exploded spontaneously at a military training range on Wednesday.

The range was being prepared for firing exercises, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

Four soldiers got injuries of varying severity as a result of explosion. They received qualified medical treatment. Their lives are out of danger.

A commission of the Ministry of Defense and an investigative group of the Military Prosecutor's Office are working to find out reasons and details of the incident.

Half billion rubles donated to sufferers by Belarusians

A sum of more than Br 458 millions has been received on the account of Minsk city executive committee intended for relief assistance to victims of the blast.

Donations are also received at the charitable accounts of Minsk city executive committee to help survivors and victims of the tragic events of April 11 at Kastrychnitskaya (Oktyabrskaya) metro station in Minsk, the press-service of Minsk city executive committee reports.

As of April 13, the sum of donations was equal to Br 6 million 817 thousand, and for today – more than Br 458 million.

Minsk mourns over terrorist attack victims

On April 13 mourning over 12 victims of the bloody terrorist attack in metro was declared.

On April 13 the first funeral ceremonies for the killed in the terrorist act, are to take place. Yesterday evening a report was received that all the 12 victims of the Minsk metro blast had been identified. They are 5 women and 7 men, the youngest of them, Syarhei Hyarasimchyk, was 17, and the oldest one, Alyaksandr Parfuntsau was 47 years old.
