“Photographer of kings” took picture of the last dictatorship in Europe (Photo)

Sasha Gusov published his book "Belarus Terra Incognita" after nearly two years spent in Belarus.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka, for PR of whom, as media wrote, a photographer was invited, was probably surprised "Salidarnasts" writes.

- I'm sharing the fruits of nearly two-year stay in Belarus. My new book has just been published: Belarus Terra Incognita. It is a pity that no one in Russia had found money to order me anything like that! - Sasha Gusov said in his blog on the site of the journal "Snob".

At those photos, which the master put in the blog, there is no a shadow of the official pathos. That is quite amazing. More than a year ago it became known that the "photographer of kings and presidents", who left Russia for London about 20 years ago, and became one of the most sought-after professionals in the world within this period, was invited to work with Lukashenka. And to acquaint the West with a little-known country.

To the envy of the Belarusian photographers Sasha Gusov had no obstacles when he was taking pictures. One of the press photographers, who worked at the military parade on Independence Day, told.

Of course, not seeing the entire book, it is difficult to make a general conclusion about its direction. But judging by the photos posted in the blog of Sasha Gusov, he did not allow himself to be led by the Belarusian authorities.
