"We do not bring the situation with wildfires to the degree when they need to be extinguished "in a house-raising manner," stated a source in the Emergency Ministry of Belarus.
The situation with wildfires in Minsk region is stable, the head of Minsk regional department of the Emergency Situations Ministry Anatoly Ulasevich said, Interfax-Zapad reports.
"We do not bring the situation with wildfires to the point when they need to be extinguished "in a house-raising manner", by pooling resources," Ulasevcih said. He stressed that "the situation with wildfires in the region is under control and it is stable".
Touching upon liquidation of the disaster consequences, the head of the regional department of Emergency Situations Ministry noted that "200 farm buildings which roofs had been damaged remain unrepaired, liquidation of power supply lines' destruction goes on".
Ulasevich noted that officers of Minsk regional department of the Emergency Situation Ministry are getting ready to take the place of their colleagues who are now in Russia liquidating wildfires.
In his turn, the head of Minsk regional department of state labour inspection Syarhei Shkudneu stated that "during the harvesting campaign this year there have been no accidents in Minsk region".
