The militia of Shchuchyn confiscated about 450 copies of Magazyn Polski na uchodzstwie (Polish magazine in exile) from activists of the Union of Poles in Belarus (UPB).
Magazyn Polski na uchodzstwie is published by fellows of Andzelika Borys, the head of the unrecognized Union of Poles, Radio Svaboda reports.
As Mechyslau Yaskevich (Mieczyslaw Jaskiewicz), the UPB deputy head, said, they had been detained on the road. A militia car was waiting for them on the highway Hrodna–Minsk near the town of Shchuchyn. Mechyslau Yaskevich and Veranika Sebastsyanovich, the head of the veterans of Armia Krajova and WWII, were taken to a militia department, where copies of the magazine were confiscated. The detainees were set free three hours later.
According to Mechyslau Yaskevich, they were going to visit their fellows before Easter.
