Young Front activist Ruslan Matveeu was questioned in connection with a criminal case related to an inscription "Long live Belarus!" on the building of the Pershamaiski district court in Minsk.
BelaPAN learnt about this from press secretary of the organization Stanislau Stesik.
According to him, inscriptions of political character on fences near the Pershamaiski district court and the court building were drawn on the night March 11/12. Officers of the Pershamaiski district instigated a criminal case over that fact.
As Stesik told, investigator Smirnou asked Matveeu about his political views, activity in the organization, membership in other organizations and his current activity.
"The investigator asked who of his friends could draw the inscriptions. According to the militia, the drawing were made in a period time from midnight to 3 a.m. Matveeu was shown a record of his call from a cell phone, given by a mobile operator, according to which he received a call about 2 a.m. near the Pershamaiski district court. a polygraph examination was offered to him, but he rejected the offer," Stesik said.
The investigator also showed Matveeu a photo depicting his phone number under one of the inscriptions. The activist said he didn't know who could do that.
Matveeu was fingerprinted and taken saliva sample for DNA analysis. He was also told he would be summoned later to give more evidence.
