Today Volha Nyaklyaeva has received the first letter from Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu. It was sent from the pre-trial detention centre of the KGB on January 12.
- The letter had been written by Uladzimir, it was his style, -- his wife said. – I have notices several things. Firstly, it is clear from the letter that not all my parcels are received by him. Uladzimir asks me to bring a water heater, nail clippers. But I have brought all that before, and these things were admitted. Why haven't they passed them to my husband? There is also another strange phrase in the letter: "I had was promised that a parcel from you would be taken." How should I understand that?!
Uladzimir asked me to send lard and dried fruit. But this food is prohibited to be brought in parcels from January 1. It means they have not been informed about that at all.
Other things in the letter are personal. "I'm asking you: do not walk near the prison, it is pointless. The walls are very thick," Uladzimir writes. "Even without that you are with me day and night." There are some things which I do not want to mention, they are between us.
It should be said that Volha Nyaklyaeva is not the only one who has received the letter from "Amerikanka" (the KGB prison). Recently the first letters from the prisoners have been received by Andrei Sannikov's mother, Natallya Radzina's mother, Ales Mikhalevich's wife, "Narodnaya Volya" writes.
