Alyaksandr Lukashenka singed decree #331, under which Belaruskali will be reorganized into a open joint stock company.
Interfax learnt this from the press service of the Belarusian ruler.
In accordance with the decree, oil trunk pipelines Gomeltransneft Druzhba and Navapolatsk-based republican unitary oil transportation enterprise Druzhba must be converted into joint stock companies.
The preamble says the decree is aimed at "attracting investments to development of certain companies".
Under the decree, the shares of the enterprises shall not be sold to members of the labour collective exchanged for Property (Imushchestvo) vouchers.
"The government considered in details prospects for development of the enterprises and found this step efficient. The reorganizing will create conditions for attracting foreign and national investors interested in long-term relations, ready to take on obligations on fulfilling social conditions, technical reequipment and increasing competitiveness of the enterprises and also will lead to reducing governmental budget expenses for state property management," a representative of the press service noted.
Deputy prime minister of Belarus Uladzimir Syamashka earlier said about talks with some investors on selling a minority stake in Belaruskali.
