No one volunteered to meet with dictator in Barysau

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has arrived to Barysau today.

The meeting with him was organized out in the open, on the place of construction of the new BATE football team's stadium. Students of colleges and of the town were obliged to attend the meeting, otherwise they were threatened to be, "Human Rights Activists for Free Election" reports.

A human rights activist Aleh Matskevich received a phone call from a desperate father of a student of Barysau polytechnic. The reason for his feelings was the fact that his son is forced to come to "the meeting with the president", however his state of health is disregarded. The guy has a second degree of disability, he suffers from cancer. "Will he stand indefinitely freezing outside?! Does he need such a meeting with the president? His health is more important!" the father said indignantly. He demonstrated medical documents, asked to relieve his son from standing at the meeting with Lukashenka "in the crowd of extras" were futile. The boy was ordered to come to the construction site necessarily, otherwise he would be dismissed. After the conversation with human rights activist the father plans to come to the college himself and warn the administration that in case of repressions against his son he would write a letter to Lukashenka.

By the way, obligatory participation in the meeting with the ruler affected students of all colleges and vocational schools of Barysau. Hundreds of boys and girls from every educational institution were sent for the meeting.
