Belarus wants to buy jet trainer/light attack aircraft Yak-130


Belarusian military men study the possibility of buying jet trainer/light attack aircraft Yak-130 in Russia.

This was announced at the briefing on August, 3 by Commander of Air Forces and Anti-Aircraft Defence of The Armed Services of Belarus Ihar Azaryonak, BelaPAN reports.

It is planned that new aircrafts are to be added to armament of the Training center for aircrew personnel, which is being established in Lida in the frameworks of the work on optimization of battle groups, improvement of battle and support systems, conducted this year.

Now there is a training squadron on Czech L-39 "Albatross", at the 206-th air assault base. The air crafts were purchased from Ukraine in 2006.
