Export duty for Russian oil can grow by $13 since September 1


Since September 1 2010 export duty for oil can be $274-277 per ton.

It is about $13 more than the duty used currently, calculations of Interfax agency based upon information of the Finance Ministry of Russia show.

Since August 1 the duty is $262.8 per ton.

As informed by the head of general analysis department of the Finance Ministry of Russia Alyaksandr Sakovich, the average cost of Russian oil for the period of monitoring July 15 through August 10 was $76.82 per barrel.

"If the figures would be within $75 -$80 per barrel for these three days, the final cost in the monitoring would be $76.57 – 77.26 per barrel," he said.

Thus, proceeding from the formula specified by Article 3 Part 4 of the Law on Customs tariff, oil duty since September could be $274-277 per ton.

Furthermore, duties foe oil produced at local oilfields of Eastern Siberia could make $87-89 per ton, has grown by $8.7 as compared to the current duty of $80.3 per ton.

Oil duties for light oil products could make $197-199 per ton, and dark oil products $106-107 per ton.
