Belarusian Ministry of Defense decides whether to buy S-400 from Russia

Belarus considers a question of buying S-400 missile systems from Russia.

It was said on Tuesday by Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Chief, Major General Ihar Azaronak at a sitting of the Air Defense Coordinating Committee of the CIS.

"We are considering different variants of equipping the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense with various defense weapons, including S-400 systems. The issue is being considered and worked out, it's not a decision of one day," Azaronak said.

Colonel General Alexander Zelin, the Russian Air Force Chief, said Russia was ready to supply air defense systems.

"Taking into account that we have a single air defense system, we will sell the missiles to Belarus if it agrees to buy," Zelin said, Interfax news agency informs.
