Belarusian dictator going on visit to Ahmadinejad

Alyaksandr Lukashenka plans to visit Iran in the second half of the year.

"It is a good meeting in the run-up to our meeting with the President of Iran in Tehran in the second half of the year," the Belarusian ruler noted at a meeting with Minister of Industry and Mines of Iran Ali Akbar Mehrabian.

Lukashenka positively appraised launching large-scale Belarus–Iran investment projects. "We can't say it is the beginning. This is the beginning of a good continuation of our cooperation," he said and expressed a hope that the parties would have more ambitious projects that would further bring the states closer. Lukashenka noted he meant "the projects both in Belarus in Iran."

The Belarusian ruler offered the Iranian minister to discuss the problems of implementing investment projects. "I think we will be able to discuss new cooperation areas between our countries," Lukashenka said.

The Iranian minister said that development of cooperation with friendly Belarus was a key point for Iran. "We see the necessity to develop relations with Belarus," Mehrabian noted and added: Belarus and Iran haven't exhausted all possibilities and resources for cooperation."
