Alyaksandr Lukashenka: It's inadmissible when father is government official while children are involved in private business

At today's consultations with Minsk region administration executives the leader of the state has made several statements.

"Land distribution has become the most corrupted sphere in the operation of rural executive committees," Belta quotes president Alyaksandr Lukashenka. In his words, the fact clearly demonstrates that the new head of the regional administration should act fast to improve the situation.

"And Minsk region and other hot spots have been taken under most serious control by me. Illegal actions can take place there. And I ask all chief executive officers keep that in mind," Lukashenka underlined. "I am not against buidling good houses at your own expense, I will support that. But we have many places where construction is forbidden, put it in crude terms. Please build houses where it is allowed, but do not occupy the land that is to give us bread, milk and meat".

The head of the state attracted attention to the fact that the territory inside the ring road is the zone of responsiblity of Minsk city executive committee, but he has always demanded that the Minsk regional governor should control how agricultural lands inside the ring road are used.

The President criticized the Minsk region for nepotism and covering each other's backs. In his words, corruption begins with such disgusting phenomena. "If you want your children and family members to support and help the country, please, you are welcome to do a government job. Let them show their worth. But when father is a government official while children are involved in private business the way it was in the Grodno region, the example infects other officials. It is absolutely inadmissible!" stressed the head of the state.
