The accounting committees of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia are to carry out joint "performance analysis" of the Customs union.
In summer-autumn of this year the accounting committees of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are set to carry out a number of measures of control with the aim to find out how the customs union functions. It was stated on April 7 behind the scenes of the session of the working group of the International organisation of the highest financial control authorities in Astana by the chairman of the Accounting Chamber of the Russian Federation, Sergey Stepashin.
As said by him, in the period from August to November 2010 the accouncing chamber of the three countries are to define what benefits of the customs union to the member states are and what is the progress in creation of a common economic space.
Stepashin noted that there are certain troubles in the work of the Customs Union, and while Russia has no problems with Kazakhstan, there are such problems with Belarus, ITAR-TASS informs.
We remind that Belarus has sued Russia in the Economic Court of the CIS. Official Minsk finds that Moscow takes export duties for oil delivered to Belarus unfoundedly.
